Year 8

Task 3
Well done! You have managed to introduce yourself and now it's time for something more. I'd like to learn about the history and the present of your corner of Hook Island. It can be a personal story or more about the geographical or societal aspects of Hook Island. Your call.

Use all past and present tense forms as well and naturally as you can. Think about the sequences of events and make sure your tenses work for it. You can also draw a timeline if you like!
Cheerio!

Task 4
What is your community like? Are you close to your neighbours and other people around the block? Do you share information, carry each others luggage or do your homework together? What happens in the neighbourhood? Do you have parties or weddings? Incorporate words from our list of singular words with plural meaning/plural translation. Enjoy!

Task 5
Write a post in which you make plans for the future. Try to include all the different ways to talk about the future. It might be a good idea to make it a dialogue between characters, or a kind of a diary entry, for example. But you can decide for yourself, it's your world after all. :)

Task 6
Hey you! What if your part of Hook Island experienced some kind of disturbance? What would it most likely be? What would you do? Write a good plan of action! Remember to showcase all of your ability to express yourself in conditional sentences! I look forward to reading this! Have fun and be creative! 🐙

Task 7Oh, dear! One of your friends in Hook Island has received some bad news... Or maybe something embarrassing has happened to them and they confide in you. Write down the conversation you had with him/her/it. Or, even better, video yourself telling me about it and post the clip in your blog! Use Chat for Unit 7 (pp. 120-121). 🙍
Ps. If you choose to record a video, you may be able to skip the oral exam we are having later in the spring. Think about it! 📹
